The residencies at JPS offer very competitive salaries and includes full coverage of medical and dental insurance premiums for residents and immediate family members.
Salaries (effective August 1, 2016)
- PGY 1: $55,299.20
- PGY 2: $56,998.34
- PGY 3: $61,080.68
Medical and dental insurance are provided for the resident and immediate family members. JPS Health Network also provides disability and professional liability coverage.
JPS grants maternity and paternity leave in accordance with the Family Medical Leave Act.
- PGY 1: $1,000
- PGY 2: $1,500
- PGY 3: $1,500
$1,500 provided for all new residents.
- PGY 1: 17 calendar days PTO
- PGY 2: 20 calendar days PTO and 5 days to attend educational activities
- PGY 3: 20 calendar days PTO and 5 days to attend educational activities
Residents receive fully compensated meal stipend as part of their package.
Residents who travel to Children’s Hospital for Pediatric EM, or the community EM rotation at BSW Irving receive mileage reimbursement.
